Kundalini Yoga & Meditation

Rejoice in every sinew, every bone, every shred of being

Kundalini yoga & meditation offers a very holistic and integrated approach to healing and health promotion. All  colours of the rainbow are contained within the colour white. It recommended to wear white clothing of natural fibers when attending class, if possible. The goal is to uplift our spirit and stretch to expand potentials. A typical yoga class will include tuning in with the Adi or primal mantra, Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo, followed by another mantra for protection.  The beautiful poetry within this tradition really appeals to my heart. In creating a habit of deep  stillness and self-awarenss, this yogic traditional acknowledges the importance of creating a space in our lives for prayer and God / The Divine.

I do not shy away from the very real challenges to a soulful god-infused worldview that an increasingly secular and materialist paradigm have set upon the altar of progress. Through these practices, I myself have found great healing and support for many challenges in my own life as a single mother and very sensitive person – I am grateful & therefore it is my hope to simply share what I have learned with you.

The practical applications of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation extend beyond the realms of fitness to encompass all levels of our being. The efficacy of this technology has been demonstrated through a growing body of research on the power of activating our inner healing capacities.  The technology of Kundalini Yoga & Meditation offers a way to systematically upgrade our capacities to self-regulate, deepen our inner connection to our essence and intuition and strengthen our resilience in the face of uncertainty.

I have had the pleasure to study and learn with many teachers over the years, gaining additional training to deliver a therapeutic Yoga programme for PTSD & Radiant Child Yoga. I have taught yoga for seniors, teens, adults & children and love to include live music as part of these classes.

Things to bring to class:

• Please have a cosy blanket
• Fresh clean water to drink
• Yoga mat
• A sheepskin brings additional comfort when meditating
• A scarf can be useful for stretches
• Cushions to use as props if needed
