Tearmann | Retreat

Soul, wisdom, wholeness, clarity, creativity, dignity and self compassion.

As we are located in the valley of Glendalough an inspirational container or additional background theme for our time together is in remembering our roots & the indigenous spiritual tradition and early Christian Ireland. Sharing stories, poetry, and devotional songs in the Irish language as well as reflecting on the powerful history associated with Glendalough, we invite the wisdom that echoes in this special place.

We acknowledge the important role Ireland had as a centre of learning and wisdom, and how passionate spiritual leaders, both male and female, from Ireland once served to restore the Light of a love for God, Higher Consciousness and the Divine Presence following the Fall of the Roman Empire. There is an inspiring heroism and courage in this story. We are invited to move beyond the limitations of a “little me” to an inspired vision of how we could step into alignment with our soul’s purpose, of inspiration, creativity & service with vitality & clarity.

This is an invitation to step out of the busy days and demands of daily life to nourish the depths of who you are. Encounter and affirm beauty in the presence of mind, body, spirit and soul.

It is a privilege to offer a nourishing space to uplift the spirit, fine tune our inner compass, deepen our resources and foundations. The aim of this retreat is to provide a nourishing space where you can connect with your own inner wisdom and the light of your infinite soul so that you can move forward into the year ahead with confidence and clarity.

Knowing who we are, self knowledge, is one of the most valuable forms of knowledge.

As we anticipate the blossoming of Spring, this is a powerful time to reflect deeply on who we are, who we are becoming & what is important to us. Before any seed grows into a tree – tall and strong – it must know inherently and deeply where is it coming from: nature is a wise teacher. Our roots must grow deep so that we can grow and blossom. To grow from our core essence is to stand firm in knowing who we are.

As we rest in the truth of our soul, our connection to the source of All that Is, we learn to inhabit an enduring sense of our divine eternal nature. As we find our ground, and root deeply into a strong foundation, our creativity can flourish and our hearts can open to Life.

Welcome

Arrival from 4pm Friday

Dinéar | Dinner 7-8pm

This evening focus will be on the earth element and being very present where we are in space and time, in Glendalough, surrounded by nature and the echoes of Ireland’s spiritual Golden Age.

Sharing songs, chants and poetry we deepen our sense of rooted presence and crystallise our devotional intention.

Our evening practice together will conclude with a meditation for a deeply nourishing sleep.

Bricfeasta | Breakfast 9-10am

This will be an introduction to working with dreams, learning how to decode them, and how to engage with our dreams to support a process of healing. We look at the power of vision in the story of Ireland, and how the images that we hold within us, impact our reality.

Featuring a Yoga set for intuition and clarity and meditation for the sixth chakra. You will also be supported to work with your dreams over the weekend.

Through breath, focus, movement and meditation we invite alignment and clarity so that we can rest in awareness of our core essence. Through working with the breath, movement energy awareness and deep rest, Kundalini yoga & meditation offers us systematic and effective practices to release deep seated stress from the body and mind so that we can deeply relax in the core of our being. When the adrenal glands are taxed through long term chronic stress, we will want to release and alleviate this burden so that our body can have an opportunity to heal from within.

Deep meditation to bring balance, harmony and healing within.

Lón | Lunch 2-3pm

For the afternoon we will visit the beautiful ground of Glendalough monastic complex and Wicklow National Park. Remembering the spiritual heritage of Ireland’s Golden Age. Sharing poetry, music and song in nature, connecting with the inspirational legacy of early Christian Ireland.

Gathering together after our time in nature ( or whether dependant we may practice outdoors ) – we will create mandalas inspired by our Tim win nature, using colour and line to thematically and symbolically structure our vision for the coming year.

This is an opportunity to focus on Light within us, our inner fire of will, and vision. When we are supported by the earth element, we have good foundations, what would you do if you had all the support that you feel you need? When we bring the mind into one pointed focus and gather our inner resources to serve our highest vision, we move into step with a higher power. To bring qualities of love and service so that we can keep the flow of vital source energy within us.

7.00 -8pm

In this evening workshop, we focus on the power of the voice, sound and vibration to affect change. There is a sophisticated science of sound as a form of healing. We will share the powerful devotional space of chanting together, opening the voice and clearing the channel within. Through deep silence we can learn to listen to the sounds within us, and the wisdom that is available in each moment.

Sharing meditations to develop the capacity for listening, for entering the subtlety of sound and silence. Working with the healing vibration of mantra and shabds to cut direct our focus , devotion & intention.

9-10 am

10.30-12.00

Consolidating all that has been learned and shared together.

Sharing meditations for healing, personal and collective, with live music.

To make the most of our time together on this retreat, I offer the opportunity to work together ahead of our gathering. This can be done over the phone or via zoom – checking in with where you are now so that I can best support you during our time together.
