To Cross the Ocean of the World

Six Weeks to Calm the Storm and find your inner compass

Introductory Yoga & Meditation Course sharing key skills to cultivate calm and release stress

Taught Online via Zoom

Thursdays 7-8.30pm

We are living through the chaos of great changes. The faculties and facilities of our human capacity are being tested against the insanity of our times – this period of time that we have entered into is known as The Age of Aquarius. Where once we relied on hierarchies of government and leadership, now all these certainties are crumbling. This is a time when our inner compass, our sense of intuition, our character and our compassion are called upon.

Coming together to meditate, to pray, to focus our energies of thought and intention – the technology of Kundalini Yoga offers a powerful methodology that has stood the test of time. Taught in secret as esoteric knowledge, to chosen high ranking individuals, this form of Yoga and Meditation, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is now available to anyone willing to commit to uplift themselves and others.

We live in a time when miracles are needed. We live in a time when the darkness of the human imagination, of fear and limitation brings a heaviness and dulls the soulful creative imagination of natural innocence and joy. To know God, is to experience this joy in every moment – to cleanse the faculties of perception so that we may experience the immanence of divine presence all around us.

Week 1.

Inner Rhythms – Cultivating Awareness

In our first class together we explore the calming affect of rhythm through awareness of our heart beating, our breath and the cycles of time through which we move. We will share a gentle Kriya for the Heart and Lungs which has a healing effect on the nervous system to relieve stress and tension from the body. We also introduce the powerful shabd Kriya which helps to totally reset the nervous system and cultivates our capacity to enjoy a deeply restful sleep.

Week 2.

Inspiration Rising

This class explores our capacity to experience elevated consciousness and break the cycles of negative thinking. Through awareness of the breath and a yogic understanding of the three minds ( positive, negative and neutral) we chart a course to develop our intuition and new habits to uplift our spirit. This weeks Kriya helps to stimulate the positive active sun-energy in the body for increased vitality. Our meditation this week is to support the adrenal glands to help our bodies to recover from the effects of long-term stress.

Week 3.

O me hearty !

Coming to our third week of practice we focus on the heart. Many suffer from heart issues and too often we are blocking the flow of energy to our heart in an effort to protect ourselves. Both physically and psychologically this can have detrimental effects on our health. As we focus on healing our hearts we explore our need to give and receive love and how to cultivate compassion to ourselves and others. Our Kriya this week is to develop an open heart and release emotional defensiveness. W will also share a meditation for healing and compassion.

Week 4.

Boundaries – I am safe

This weeks Kriya is called Mastering your Domain. Through a sense of containment and strong foundations we are able to manifest in the world. In a physical sense, having strong legs and being able to feel the support of the earth helps us to deepen our foundations and sense of safety. Our meditation this week is for the Root Chakra, working on our fundamental capacity to feel safe, welcome and wanted in this life.

Week 5.

Deepening Roots

Resilience comes through cultivating these inner skills and qualities so that we have the physical capacity, mental agility and intuition and spiritual grit to navigate the choppy world ocean of our times. Being able to find that inner calm and inner resources – we are better able to force the storms outside us. Deepening a sense of our rootedness, our foundations in the core of our being helps us to weather the storm. This weeks Kriya is for the Lungs, deepening our breath and expanding our awareness so that we come to experience a deep rootedness within the present moment.

Week 6.

The law of nature is abundance. The word abundance even inspires us to celebrate and abun-DANCE! Each of us has so much to bring to the world of our gifts and talents, our abilities, our life experience and learning. As we move through a period of uncertainty let us remember to focus on the true and enduring sources of abundance, prosperity and wellbeing. Our Kriya this week is a powerful Subugh Kriya for Prosperity. Our Meditation is a soulful practice to bring Healing to ourselves and the world around us.
