Cultivating Our Physical Foundations 

 

How can we rise above…

Yet keep our feet on the ground?

How do we remain steady amid challenge and change?

In the next few weeks we will focus on that which brings us firmness,

strength and self confidence as we look ahead in uncertain times.

Working on the hips and legs and continuing to cultivate inner strength, poise and stability so that we may move forward with ease.

Honouring Mother Earth we can also nourish ourselves through her bountiful harvest at this time of mellow fruitfulness. Nature holds the beauty and inspiration a mirror for our own true, inner nature. We can come to rest in the stillness of our essence and calm knowing soul.

Week 1:

Master Your Domain

This weeks yoga set helps us to really come to a sense of our centre, cultivating the core muscles and psychologically strengthening our capacity to bring thoughts into action.

Our meditation this week is designed to help resolve inner conflicts

so that we can remain clear and steady on our path in life.

Week 2:

Flexibility of the Spine

This lovely yoga set systematically works through the spine to increase flexibility and the flow of positive life force through our system.

We will share the powerful Ardhas Bhaee mantra and meditation to remove negativity.

Week 3:

A Strong Will

Nabhi Kriya: This famous Kriya really helps to firm up the abdominal area, gets the energy moving in the body and strengthen the solar plexus, the “nabhi“ center.

We will share a meditation that can help to burn away inner anger

so that we can prevent ill-health and cultivate inner peace and grace.

Week 4

Healing through the Physical Body

This week we practice the physical body kriya for self healing.

Experiencing the challenges and limitations of our physical body stimulates the capacity of our spirit, calling us to grow and rise above.

Our meditation to balance the five tattvas and relieve stress and anxiety.

Physical Foundations

Kundalini Yoga and Meditation classes, to cultivate a strong foundation and develop inner strength, grit and the capacity to excel. Each class includes breath work, a yoga set, deep relaxation and meditation. Classes are one and a half hours duration and are taught via zoom.

Reflections

On a global scale, those foundational structures that upheld our view of reality have been crumbling. Yogic Philosophy views the great cycles of the ages and that we are currently passing from the age of Pisces into the Age of Aquarius. What we must learn is to look within and cultivate our inner authority and the capacity to listen to the subtle guidance of our soul. Feeling secure in our own bodies and cultivating these inner foundations both on a physical and a subtle, psychological and spiritual level we can experience constancy in the midst of challenge and change.

I am reminded of this poem, a reminder of how all things, even great civilisations and their pretensions of progress and power, pass away and are subject to the great wheels of time, destiny and fate.
